I disagree........being satisfied on playing on NYR will lead you to beer league.
Nothing wrong with that but most can continue to play OHL, junior A and B down the line.
It just depends how you wish to obtain that.

It's sad that the top teams have the lowest fees, and the losing teams have the highest. You're paying extra to be bad.

Going through My hockey rankings, Everest participated in a few tournaments against top OMHA and GTHL teams and held their own. Beating VK, Marlies, North Shore.

This is a no brainer.

Going through My hockey rankings, Everest participated in a few tournaments against top OMHA and GTHL teams and held their own. Beating VK, Marlies, North Shore.

I think prep in a few more years will be right up there if not surpass the GTHL. Seems like a great option but time will tell

You are better off going on a Junior B team.
65 goals in AA transfers to 10 goals in AAA.
Being an overeager in U18 isn't something you want to do with 10 goals.

Of course! But only if you get the full AAA Parent Starter Pack, includes the jacket, a personalized car decal, and the sudden belief that your kid is one good shift away from the NHL draft.

I love these forums, nothing beats watching parents convince themselves their 15/16 year old is a lock for the NHL. Not sure what’s scarier… the kids with no backup plan or the parents when reality (or their bank account) finally hits.

So you’re telling me a 19 year old player is going to go to the OHL and immediately get a spot over the 3 previous *real* draft years? 45 new players minimum in the system over those years. OHL teams prioritize 16 year olds, not overagers. Don’t get people’s hopes up on here man. Certain niche players can make junior b if you’re a goon but it’s over once you’re 21. Then it’s time to get a real job.

In the next decade some of them might start to attract top players, similar to how it is in Minnesota high school. Canada is always behind by two decades so it’ll take us some time to catch up.

Agreed…won’t see any traction on that for awhile in Canada. You’re better off sending your little superstar to the States.

Agreed…won’t see any traction on that for awhile in Canada. You’re better off sending your little superstar to the States.

Well the states do everything better. Including hockey as you can see the last 3-4 years. Not one Canadian AAA team could touch a Minnesota high school team either.
