He laced ’em up at crack of dawn
While others yawned, he skated on
No prep school name, no sponsor bag
Just busted wheels and hand-me-down swag

Double A, yeah that’s the tier
Where dreams go die? Not over here
He toe-dragged kids into the dust
Snapped twigs, broke ankles, left ’em crushed

The scouts said nah, he said bet
They watched one shift, now they regret
He made that draft board eat its words
While coaches whispered he’s absurd

Now he’s OHL, prime-time ice
Still taping sticks and paying price
From loser rooms to locker fame
The AA kid just changed the game

And listen up, I’ll spit one truth
He wasn’t even best in youth
The real one chopped like deli meat
Weiner should’ve had that draft seat

That’s beautiful!

Puckdaddy graduated from the School of Life with honours, PhD in calling out nonsense and a minor in freedom fighting. Stay mad.

Ok now season is done can we please drop the BS and confirm that TRT is not going to have a U17 AA team next season, and this puckdaddy thing is that a trolling joke.

Nope, it was legitimate. Apparently he dropped out on TRT last minute because he got a AAA coaching offer. Guess the guy is in it for the big bucks or he didn’t see the potential in TRT AA.

Tryouts were posted weeks ago and there was never a team listed for TRT u17AA. Whole thing was a wildly successful troll considering the responses it got and that it’s still a topic of discussion here.

TRT general manager is posted as place holder for coach. As well on Ted reeve website there is no ice slots noted for tryouts for u17 AA team. every other age group has times noted. I'm gonna say no team. But hey email the GM and ask? Pretty simple.

It wasn’t a troll, you must be a salty TA parent spreading lies again. I actually got on the phone with puck daddy weeks ago, he’s a very straight forward guy. TRT was scrambling to try and assemble a team. He said he was in the TRT coaching system years ago with his other son and they reached out to him. Puck daddy was feeling out interest from parents and players and said it wasn’t worth it. I tried asking him if he’s coaching another team, he didn’t give me a straight answer.

My kid wants to tryout for TA because he loves the Chesswood arena but I refuse to let him if Twitch dad is still involved in the team in any capacity. Does anyone know if he will be back? Also, will the star of the team W be back? It would be great to have my kid playing on his line.
