Now you’re talking, bro! Those are the connections you NEED. If scouts haven’t noticed your kid by now, I’d suggest NOT holding your breath that they are going to come knocking. People are setting their kids up for disappointment.
AA 10th forward on NYR got drafted.
Impre$$ive!
With 0 points for the season
Drafted by the team where his NYR coach scouts
And OG 14th round pick from Sens…small, 4pts in 31 games.
Such a waste.
I get it money pick.
So embarrassing for OHL and player.

A real embarrassment for the OHL, and more so, a real embarrassment for the organization that made the pick. The player referenced in the comment above, was the 10th forward on a last place team in the GTHL.

The same can be said with the 10th forward that was drafted from the North York Rangers, whose father recently purchased 50% of the North York Rangers OJHL team. If you connect the dots on this one….. you’ll know why this player was drafted to the Niagara dogs of the OHL.
Isn't this the same guy that purchased a Porsche for the coach to get his kid a spot on the Nats in the prior season (major bantam season)?
Is this for real??

If you think your kid is getting a spot on aaa because spots are opening up, you better be prepared to be on a bottom of the barrel team. New player to aaa with no experience doesn’t even make a mid range team. Hopefully you have lots of money to spend on hockey and don’t care about ice time.

All the dots are being connected. Last few rounds are a complete mockery of what the OHL stands for. It is always bad every year but this year was next level embarrassing. Hockey Canada wonders why we have lost dominance in this sport. Just sick who was selected............
Shame, lot of good talent left on the board.

Old news! The entire 09 loop knew about the Porsche trade for a 10th forward spot in the U15 season for the NATS! And look who he played for this past season. You can’t make this shite up.

Feel for the kid, he probably has no idea what happened behind the scenes.

You really got parents and coaches still actin like AAA is the promised land at that age Like bro if your kid ain’t already gettin looks from Junior teams or colleges it’s probably not happenin and that’s fine like it’s seriously fine not everyone’s makin the OHL draft or whatever

Half these kids are just tryin to keep playin the game with their boys maybe get a couple road trips in chirp a few guys maybe throw a muffin on net in the third and grab some pizza after That’s the real dream right there

And yo not to be harsh but there’s kids in AAA right now who couldn’t hit an open net if it owed them money but their dad’s got connections and a loud voice in the lobby So what does that even mean anymore

Your kid’s not a late bloomer he’s just late to the puck every shift stop blamin politics and start blamin his edges yo

Let’s be real If you’re 16 still grindin it out and you love the game good on you Whether it’s AAA, AA or even high school chill rec league whatever just enjoy it man You got like two more years before life starts throwin bills and jobs at your head

Play the game for the game Stop treatin every shift like it’s a job interview for the NHL The scouts already got their list and spoiler alert most of your names ain’t on it

So yeah maybe don’t remortgage the house for that U18 AAA team Just sayin
