The U18S are all 09s this year! best of luck to yaGuest wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 7:35 amGuest wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 11:07 pmHow is it possible all Qrd kids are wearing gk helmets for the U 15 tryouts. Weird they would buy one before tryouts are completed.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 4:11 pm How do you feel as an organization, with teams predominantly QUINTE kids, especially at the U15 and U18 age groups? As the soon viral TikTok shows - where do the U15 Kingston kids go now that the U15 Quinte team folded? I feel for the kids and families that have been loyal to Kingston - are good enough for AAA but can't travel over an hour to another centre. Let's hear some other parents thoughts on this.
Are you really surprised? They didn’t come to Kingston to tryout. They had the spot already. Both u15&u18. It’s become quinte east with open borders and unfortunately the association doesn’t care that their local kids are getting screwed. They’ve never cared. They’ve allowed it before. They’ve been losing for years as there’s no development so they welcome QRD kids as they’ve been taught along the way in hopes of winning more than 2 games a year. The exec and whole program needs to be completely revamped. President trashing AA kids, VP taking his kids elsewhere when he didn’t get his way, coaches who have been repeatedly reported and complained about rehired just for a different age group incase parents don’t complain about lack of professionalism and development. It’s just a shuffle game as anyone who has any talent isn’t staying here. 1 kid drafted this year. 1. And he barely played. That tells you everything you need to know

Looks like CD wouldn't resign so ST/TC forced him out. New folks, same results unfortunately.Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 8:24 pmGood Riddance CD
Re: Kingston Jr. Gaels
Open borders means kids can travel to try out where they want to. If Kingston kids are good enough to play AAA, then whether QRD players are there or not, they have the opportunity to work hard, and earn a spot. Perhaps some of the kids on the team were not AAA level to begin with and will end up playing at a developmental level where they can play more and feel success. Perhaps at a level where they should be playing.
As for a coach not having head coaching experience - HOW are young coaches, coaches who are giving their time for our children, supposed to get head coaching experience if they don't DO IT! RT is a great young man, he has a solid knowledge of hockey, and has been an excellent assistant coach. Above all - Players respect him and are excited to have him as their coach. They are also looking forward to the experience JO brings as she joins the bench! They are very excited about the upcoming season - so perhaps instead of whining and complaining about how he got there, wish the bench and team good luck and a great season! Try being positive and be actual role models for your kids.

Can’t wait for the 1st time RT tries to pretend he is in charge and JO, lets him know who really is. Why was she only able to bring the bottom 6 to GK not the top 10?
