2009 GTHL AA West
Re: 2009 GTHL AA West
The only 2009 AA team worth playing on is the Vaughan Panthers, at least there you get solid coaching, a great team vibe and actually feel like you’re getting your money’s worth. Let’s be real, no one’s making the NHL at this point anyway.

Re: 2009 GTHL AA West
Any minor league hockey player parents on here? My son was about to get an offer to play AA one coach said yes and another suddenly said no. We found out he was blocked by an antisemitic parent who didn’t want his son on the team w my son and he is very wealthy and has a lot of influence. We thought he had the spot and it was done. Now all the AA teams are full and single A teams are full and my son has no team for next year. He is a very good player and worked so hard I don’t want him to quit hockey. He is 2009 and played for single A last year and an elite prep school team. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do? Does anyone know of teams still looking in AA or A which we may have missed? When u call the coaches some say one spot left bcs the try outs didn’t actually start yet but they just say that so they don’t get in trouble and when u get there they really have no spots. Any help or advise would be much appreciated! If u know of any teams genuinely still looking please let me know. Thanks

If that good, why wouldn’t his old single A team want him?! Go back to them or new GT Caps. If truly a AA caliber player, call or text coaches on VR, TA, TR or TW to see if there are truly spots open. Don’t mention level or where he played. Likely get more honesty that way.Guest wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 7:41 pmEvery AA team except may 2 have spots available.Guest wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 4:50 pm Any minor league hockey player parents on here? And cool it with the antisemitism stuff because if you started saying that crap to coaches, you’re not getting on a team, maybe try the TA? I think the coach is the same religion as you, if that matters.
