Top kid at 2016 doesn’t mean anything. These kids are still trying to learn the game and play as a team. This may have just been a post to try to get others to join. Posts about a free ride with this group seems completely false if anyone knows the ownership there. It’s highly unlikely unless they are in such a bad shape to get kids that they somehow offered it and with already high fees make the others pay to cover the free ride. Who knows. Having been to many ID skates and my kid is no superstar but overall the 2016 group is not that strong.

People just want to think that their kid is special. They will pay 10,000s of dollars to maintain that illusion. VK will not be as good as the other 3 but still should be in the next tier with NYR and Rebels.

Rebels have a great goalie but not even a full roster on that Stars West team. Can’t see them being that strong. NYR skates didn’t impress at all and doubt they will attract anyone especially after the teams last tournament. A team you leaving out is TRW. This team will be top kids from Saints and some other pieces. Expect them to be good.
