Does anyone have any info on these organizations? How do they compare to KSL, Select or MD programs? Number of games/practices? Quality of development and coaching? I don't see much information posted online for either organization.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
Like anything, its 100% tied to who the coach is.
Both U9 coaches from this year, who were typically really well liked are going to be coaching in Central Ontario Wolves AAA program.
Pros:
- Full ice
- more affordable than KSL
- Open borders
Cons:
- limited "regular schedule" teams to play against. They play in a league with Bomanville Bears, Clarington Bruins, I think a new team this year Apex Northstars (uxbridge area). Etc.
So if you want your team to learn full ice, full rules, without the restrictions of OMHA, then its a good option. You just need to do some digging about who the coach will be and what there plan is for a schedule this year. Last year a parent on the Red Wings told me they practiced 3 times a week and had one game a week (typically) They had 3 or 4 tournaments, plus one or two "one day" tournaments.
