Same old sorry ass Marlies
No so bad. They have managed to keep more than half of their original minor atom roster, build a strong culture and stay competitive with the top teams in North America. What other team can say that? JRC and VK rooms are disasters. But I guess winning trumps everything for some people. Look at the bigger picture people.
JB bringing in some good familys and kids. Same can not be said for CS. HF? TH? POS? Sounds like the new NYR.
The reality is this…..no coach can make a donkey a good hockey player. Yes you can put the kid on the ice 7 days a week, provide him the best coaches around, and maybe you feel there is a glimmer of hope b/c he grew early as well. WRONG!

Top athletes will win out by far in the end. What you should be looking for are kids that play two or three sports, and are naturally great at all of them (top). Specifically, they are doing this from having not matured early, unlike a kid that is just bigger and stronger than 98% of the other kids. Sorry , kid is not good:(?
Athletes like this, that are tenacious , coordinated, fast twitch little beasts will have an improvement curve that is off the charts. Not only will their future improvement come from spending more time on the ice they will also drastically improve from maturation and having learned to play against more mature competition.

This my friend is where the stars of tomorrow are found!
Don’t believe me, or don’t want to believe me b/c it contradicts your reality….. just research a little sport science !

Yes, as a scout, this is quite accurate. The very mature athletes would need to be playing up a year and dominating at that level if they would like a long career in hockey ! If not they tend to fizzle out in junior.

That's not true.
A lot of the top kids are also playing lacrosse and dominating both sports.

My kid is multi sport. In the off season he plays ball hockey, roller hockey, field hockey and bubble hockey for wrist strength.

JB’s coaching resume doesn’t even begin to contend with CS. You can’t compare the two. CS has won an OHL Cup and has never lost a game to JB.

Since CM was fired JB has been able to finally bring some better kids in, but he’s nowhere near CS level so don’t get it twisted.JB still has a LOT to prove as a coach.
This has to be a joke. CS won an OHL Cup sure, but that’s all that’s in his resume besides flunking out of playing Jr. B. Marlies are a joke but JB has running one of the most successful OHL teams on his resume and is one of the most well connected people in hockey in Ontario.
