Did I miss something here because in all my years I don’t remember HC having anything to do with the selection process for the prospects game. Bit of a stretch to point at them when PK from the GTHL is the individual running this event.

You’re right Coaches never have input on selections. But when one of the 9th place teams has 2 kids in the game one of which is the coaches kid and a scout and works with the GTHL it is extremely fishy. Mix in how horribly out of place those 2 Rebel kids looked in the game. That may have been the only time an HC got kids in the game

How many teams have received their mid season team budget expenditure report required by Hockey Canada? Good ppl in minor hockey are few and far between. I think this chat is a good indication of how toxic minor hockey is.

Not just minor hockey, some OHL teams will be happy to receive money to bring in a player that wouldn't normally be selected.

End of the day a majority of the kids who should have been there were there. I would have added both the DMF D who were not there. People will argue that of course because it is DMF however they should have been. The game was very enjoyable to watch and the GTHL puts on a great show for the young men.
