You’re right Coaches never have input on selections. But when one of the 9th place teams has 2 kids in the game one of which is the coaches kid and a scout and works with the GTHL it is extremely fishy. Mix in how horribly out of place those 2 Rebel kids looked in the game. That may have been the only time an HC got kids in the gameGuest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 4:35 pm Did I miss something here because in all my years I don’t remember HC having anything to do with the selection process for the prospects game. Bit of a stretch to point at them when PK from the GTHL is the individual running this event.

Also He owns a G aa team. This is the most obvious. How can two kids from the REBS make it over kids who are on winning teams and in the playoffs. Parents who have left him know it is about playing his kid and money. Now everyone knows it.Wait when his kid gets drafted!Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 6:21 pmYou’re right Coaches never have input on selections. Its common knowledge that all the coaches line their pockets. Pathetic ppl will "donate" to the team or just directly pay coach for ice. How many teams have received their mid season team budget expenditure report required by Hockey Canada? Good ppl in minor hockey are few and far between. I think this chat is a good indication of how toxic minor hockey is.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 9:28 pmKid will be drafted to dad's team.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 7:25 pmAlso He owns a G aa team. Not just minor hockey, some OHL teams will be happy to receive money to bring in a player that wouldn't normally be selected.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 9:50 pmIts common knowledge that all the coaches line their pockets. Re: 2009 GTHL AAA
Even if a couple of these kids were taken for political reasons... Who cares.
End of the day a majority of the kids who should have been there were there. I would have added both the DMF D who were not there. People will argue that of course because it is DMF however they should have been. The game was very enjoyable to watch and the GTHL puts on a great show for the young men.

Why did QA5 on Rebels not make prospects game? He may as well be the goat. Fillipone loves him more than his son.
