Guest wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2025 1:46 pm To the non playoff teams, anyone know what's up with the Clancy? They pushed the start back, haven't released the format. What's up? still happening?
I wouldn't expect much turnout from the West in Clancy. All those bottom teams blew up with the exception of westmall maybe?
For the ones that made the playoffs, it will be final goodbyes for Terriers, Caps, Northstars
Are Sharks, Panthers and Toros blowing up? Thought only Wolverines and ST blowing up.
Sharks and Toros pretty much staying the same. Panthers and Wolverines rebuilding most of the team, Terriers is the Streetsville core and a few Oakville kids. Caps is also full rebuild. Northstars trying to keep the core and a few terriers kids. A bunch of movement but may not change much.
Beast is questionable now. Definitely not a playoff team
This isn't correct.

- MNS getting 4-5 Wolverine players
- Caps aren't full rebuild
- Toros going to have 7-8 changes and new coach
MNS will be interesting, decent players, lousy coach
Caps, same old same old
Toros keeping the same approach as last year? trying to fill their holes with career bottom dwelling AA players and A players without a clue? Will be on the outside looking in again “strong coach” or not.

Looked to me that most of the Wolverines were at the last Toros skate along with stronger sharks, WM and a few outside the west loop. Wouldn’t surprise me if this new Toros coach keeps the top Toros kids and mashes them together with top Wolverines, WM and Sharks. Not sure what that would look like but for sure better than the 10 wins tbey had this year.

Well if... and it's a big if, they can replace the bottom of their lineup with top kids from those teams they could be back in a playoff spot. They have that one line and nothing past it.

LOL along with the Panthers, those were the only teams they could beat last year. Guess those players will make them better.

Toros will struggle again based on what I say from the skates. Problems from the wolverines and sharks bottom cuts are not going to cut it. Don't mesh will with the toros top line and will be a dive again next season. Its difficult to take problems from other teams and try to make it work. Bad habits never change

So your kid didn't get a call back eh? If you think you can predict what a team is going to look like from skates good luck. If that was the case the Wolverines would've been top 3 for the last few years with the talent TM had at his skates. LOL Long way to go, and you have no idea what a coach has going on behind the scenes. I'd say if you see current top players staying on a team then high chance it's not a bad situation, otherwise they'd easily leave.

But I wouldn't know any of this since my kid is in playoffs and not worrying about skates and how good or bad a prospective team looks. Good luck!!

Top Wolverines aren't going to Toros. Only three are going to NS. Some are going to the east.

Its going to be a switcheroo across teams. I heard some parents at the Jets game yesterday saying the caps are moving over to wolverines. I guess based on standings they will get a little better naturally.

Not sure where you heard this. Caps have everyone returning, only looking to fill 1 goalie and 2 forwards. At lease that what I gathered from the skate a few weeks ago
