Kid is probably tired from being on the ice everyday since he was 4. Crazy how these parents want to burn their kids out at such a young age. At end of day the next step depends on good attitude and athleticism. What you accomplished up til now doesn’t matter if you don’t have those 2 traits. You will see next year.

CL doesn't have a good attitude and is a bad teammate and anyone he's ever played with will vouch for that. I'm not hating on the kid either, he's been a standout player from U10 - first half of U13 but just hasn't grown and his development has stalled. He's still a good AAA player but I agree it's a slow descent down the ladder now. I know that TL is hoping that surrounding him with good players on VK will hide this until the kid can get back on track, but who knows if he will. Needs a major growth spurt, 4'11" and 90 lbs going into hitting.

According to Everest, JT is taking over the 2012 JRC team in a year. Buyer beware of anyone thinking of going there. JT and TL are BFF. TL already working hard to have LJ fired so his buddy can come run the team.

Ya I would be worried about a coach who consistently wins and develops player… He is more qualified than any other coach in the league, other than maybe VK staff. The top team coaches are lacking knowledge and desire on how to develop players skills. Almost every parent complains about practices being the exact same. “We win a lot, but my son gets no chances on pp even in practice” “He spends too much time talking on the board” “same crappy flow drills and half hour of line sprints” Everyone thinks they are good coaches, but they are good at just opening the gate for the best player to play every other shift. Judge a coach by how much the 3rd line has improved and team as a whole. JT does it year after year.

What happened to JH... an absolute no show? It's different when you can't just hog the puck and you have to play hockey or you're benched. I thought he was a brick superstar? Times a changing boys.

What happened is life. All the parents of superstar 9 year olds who thought it actually mattered at that age are all starting to realize that it literally meant nothing. Top GTHL goalies at 9-10? Big, but Irrelevant. Brick kids? Some are still relevant, most are not. And out of those that are still relevant most of them will drop off too. You were all fooled by little kid hockey and the cream is rising to the top. Not only that the “my kid plays in the GTHL so he’s going to the NHL” days are ending soon too. Top players in GTHL, Alliance, OMHA etc (I said top players, yes I know the G is stronger as a whole) will all be close in talent and everything you thought about hockey will be proven wrong. So enjoy the memories, be proud of what your kid accomplished when they were little, but for 90 percent of them - it’s over

It's not one players fault at all come on... NYR is an incredibly skilled group but they just don't have the fight in them. They are small and mostly not very tough. They're unstoppable in space but once you take that space away, they have nothing. They barley drove the net against VK because they'd get their asses kicked every time. Everyones been saying the game is changing as the kids age and now that it's happening you all want to act surprised and blame other kids? You have to evolve. Only the strong will survive moving forward. Best of luck to all

NYR just looked flat, even in first two round robins. Their scoring dropped off and defence and goaltending let in 2x as many as regular season. They were just off at the wrong time and got some bad puck luck. Losing their best Defensive defenceman for a gutless hit, was the back breaker. PS can’t control if the FW are too scared to battle, the D fumble pucks or the goalie make an easy saves at an important time. He has had success for 4 years, it’s impossible to not have a bad stretch once in a while.

JH and MD showed why they’ll never last

They are great players and will continue to be. The team as a whole was off. WL has been shaky in every elimination game. PS rewarded him starter after he quit the team for not getting start in finals, that they won… The result? Loss in every championship game since.. VK adjusted their tactics, played aggressive and exposed holes in the NYR system. DS coached a gem. 3 straight vs by far the best team on paper.

CL’s a good player and will be just fine. He might be smaller right now but smarter than 95% of the kids in the age group. You sound like a salty troller who doesn’t know the kid very well. He’s a great kid and teammate.
