Guest wrote: Sun Mar 30, 2025 5:01 pm Nats are a much improved DD team. Defense wins games and this team knows how to play D. They bring in some strong offensive talent. They have made some big moves to bring in some strong talent. VR made very little changes heading into the VK. VK squad will be very much what you see with only a couple of kids leaving and the kids coming in are not going to make any impactful difference. Nats moves up. VK moves down and will be mid pack at best. Nats baby.
Nats got the best 2016 coming. Will finish on top next year
Ya keep going after the same type of player. Make all star teams so it covers up the lack of coaching DD actually has and that and to shield the coaches kid being their weakest player. Smoke and mirrors, no one will admit it. It's the harsh truth
Build a team around all different types of players, defensive, offensive, playmakers and throw a superstar or two in there. Coaches need to realize it takes more than goal scorers to win long term.
Having too many superstars on a team will work for a year or two but it won’t work long term. Superstars expect to be first line centre and you can only have one. So who do you choose? The guy who has been with you and loyal to you for years or the new “superstar” coming down from playing 2015?

Sounds Like another bitter parent cut. DD has been living under a rock in the NYHL. Its clear you have been cut and looking for a way to make yourself feel better. If your kid has been cut, go find another team. No one gives a **** move on

Too many superstars will ruin a team, a lot of coaches are simple minded to realize this. Teams are made up of all different types of people, just like in business. Have different kids who play a roles.

Every team is trying to get better, and will continue to do so every year. Get use to it. Focus on your child's development and on being a great teammate and for many of you on here try not to be such a dumbass that the kid is cut because of you!

You people have no clue what you are saying. Nats have not added all superstars. They had an existing team with a mix of players and added 3 others. Two of them coming back down.

Settle down. No such thing as a superstar born in 2016. These kids are 8 and still developing. You people are out to lunch, talking about 2016 born hockey teams like it's the NHL. Comparison is the thief of joy. Just worry about your childs development and are they better than they were, that's all that matters.

Nats this and nats that, give me a break. They are a Tier 2 Team who barely won the NYHL.Too much talk about this team. They play against T2 teams all year and in tournaments.

I don't know much about DD or the Nats, but we bumped into the head coach at the rink the other day - interesting little fellow. Can someone tell me if this guy actually gets on the ice and runs team practices himself? He doesn't strike me as someone who can skate, let alone command a team practice and develop AAA players.

Saw their practice, they had 5 coaches on ice.
