There is plenty of time to continue to develop in AA. We have seen strong AA player parents take their kids 100 km away just to chase the letter. How likely is it to make a AAA team in the G at tryouts? Not liklely, OMHA I'm not sure...
Even if a kid plans to play AA, why not get the exposure? Is there harm in that? Would you rather parents teach their kids to not try? These are 8 year olds and rejection and not making a team is part of them growing up. You're not going to get far in life if you give up before trying.
Yes that is definitely true I guess but it depends on the amount of rejection a young player needs to deal with only to duel the ego of the parent.

The Rebels will go 0 and 33 next year. Similar to the 2015 Red Wings. Then those kids will struggle to find a AAA team at U11. One and done. You are better off playing for a top AA team, be a star and make the jump the following year to a mid pack AAA team.

Core of his single A team that paid to be there by Asian man scrambled to OMHA after the hammer fell. I am assuming you're one of those single A parents that is butt hurt.

I don't know about the new process but good for them running a true process because they would have been in trouble with the other guy who loved pay-to-play.
Do NOT trust the Asian man. He is the reason the Rebels imploded. He committed with his group of 5 kids and then de-committed and took the other kids to a different team at the last minute.

Unfortunately, this is what this guy is going to be remembered for and he is going to have lot of difficulty getting AAA spots in coming years because he cannot be trusted.

Word of advice...stay away from the Asian man.

lol “do not trust the Asian man…”
Sounds like this guy is super important but you couldn’t describe him in any other way? Look how many asians there are in hockey this could be anybody from Stars or Markham.
Check your racism at the door bud , why is this Asian guy so important that you think the rebels would have succeeded if it wasn’t for him? Magical

And that situation is different from DMF, NYR, Majors, Sens how? Have you seen their skates?

I agree with the post about trusting the guy. Regardless of race, I would not take a chance on a kid who committed and then decommitted.

Its too risky for a AAA coach to take a chance on that kid knowing what happened!

bashing teams on a public forum is weak. Just beat them all next year and worry about yourself.

Show up dressed in a suit to a NYR skate and TC will come running to you like a crackhead with an offer on sight. That old man needs his retirement money. You want to see 0 and 33 this is where to look.
