Why do some parents insist that they go to every AAA skate just to be told your child isn't AAA calibre yet? There is plenty of time to continue to develop in AA. We have seen strong AA player parents take their kids 100 km away just to chase the letter. How likely is it to make a AAA team in the G at tryouts? Not liklely, OMHA I'm not sure...

Even if a kid plans to play AA, why not get the exposure? Is there harm in that? Would you rather parents teach their kids to not try? These are 8 year olds and rejection and not making a team is part of them growing up. You're not going to get far in life if you give up before trying.

Yes that is definitely true I guess but it depends on the amount of rejection a young player needs to deal with only to duel the ego of the parent.

The Rebels will go 0 and 33 next year. Similar to the 2015 Red Wings. Then those kids will struggle to find a AAA team at U11. One and done. You are better off playing for a top AA team, be a star and make the jump the following year to a mid pack AAA team.

And that situation is different from DMF, NYR, Majors, Sens how? Have you seen their skates?

Interesting in terms of the fact that this poor new coach is trying hard to start a new team this late and gets a bunch of AA kids slowing up!!! There were only 2 players on the ice that actually are AAA quality. Both of which were NOT from a kelvr team interesting enough. One was player and one was a kick ass goalie. The rest of them should go and accept the AA offers they probably have and let the coach run a proper AAA team.

What do you think makes up most mid to low AAA teams? 2 kids who can put the puck in the net, a good goalie, and defense who can skate.

The rest is filler, or 'AA' as they're called here.

Majors. Coach seems great. Talent level looks low. Can't imagine that will be a fun season. Better off showing off skills in AA.

NYR. Coach is the opposite. Couldn't imagine my kid playing for him.

Okay scout. You don't wanna start this convo. Former coach got forced out despite him trying to save face. Core of his single A team that paid to be there by Asian man scrambled to OMHA after the hammer fell. I am assuming you're one of those single A parents that is butt hurt.

I don't know about the new process but good for them running a true process because they would have been in trouble with the other guy who loved pay-to-play.

Do NOT trust the Asian man. He is the reason the Rebels imploded. He committed with his group of 5 kids and then de-committed and took the other kids to a different team at the last minute.

Unfortunately, this is what this guy is going to be remembered for and he is going to have lot of difficulty getting AAA spots in coming years because he cannot be trusted.

Word of advice...stay away from the Asian man.

Let’s put it this way. If former Stars coach the French guy didn’t get in the fight and body slam people the NYR team would be in good shape. New coach is very experienced but the mothers were fully dedicated to the French coach from the previous year.
