It’s cognitive dissonance that triggers you when people challenge your belief that there’s a chance your small stature kid is going to progress to the highest levels of hockey. Dudes pretend they can measure biological markers,who will be a future star. If there were any significant level of confidence in the efficacy of these methods, all the nhl bound kids would be drafted by age 11 and the scouts wouldn’t be needed beyond major bantam. Out of curiosity, why do you think anonymous hockey dads would possess any sort of credentials on talent identification? This is exactly the issue with hockey in Canada, volunteer coaches and hockey parents have zero education, experience or skill in TI.

The “Bio band & boosted” league. What if my kid self identifies as 4’9”? With the bio band logic we should eliminate female leagues and combine all of the sexes. The world would be happy to change every category that makes sense for categories that make you feel like your kid has a better chance to score.
