Intermediate not quite ready to play division 5’4-5’8

Real hockey division 5’8 and taller and then we would actually be developing these kids.
If they did a tournament each year they would bio band the teams. It would be based on maturation and not height like you mention above. You could have 5’3 kid that is fully grown in the top division! And you could have a 5’11 kid that is going to be 6’7 in the lowest division

You get it?
The “Bio band & boosted” league. What if my kid self identifies as 4’9”? With the bio band logic we should eliminate female leagues and combine all of the sexes. The world would be happy to change every category that makes sense for categories that make you feel like your kid has a better chance to score.
I think righties have a distinct advantage in the game. I prefer a tournament for lefties only.

How do we determine maturation. Would parents have to self identify the child’s testosterone levels or would we require a baseline blood test.

Another thought is could we group them based on their bench press or military press?

This might be an idea, do a tournament called, Bring us your mature make it Prohockey event

There we go a good old fashioned hockey culture response, even sprinkled in a little COVID conspiracy theory. There is no arguing with you.....it is clear that you understand it all.

The NHL is tiny compared to Soccer....the NHL spends nothing on this. So the question is why is soccer spending millions on this? I guess they love wasting their money according to you:) The best portfolio managers in the world are right 64% of the time, and the best batters in MLB are succussful 3.5 times out of ten. Why do you argue that something needs to be 100% to be successful????? Wake up buddy, get educated!
This guy gets it. 2 posts back, another delusional idiot but he used the word "efficacy" so he thinks hes smart.
Despite your superior intellect, you are not fooling anyone replying to your own posts. My dog can tell which hand his treat is in 84.37% of the time and it doesn’t make him a genius.

When you’re ready to get real, just post your kids name here and ask all the Hockey dads to let you know if your kid has got it or not. If they can remain anonymous, you’ll get the real feedback you’re hoping to get by digging through BS online studies to confirm your bias that your kid has a chance.
Did not self reply to anything…you readily jumped to thinking you have figured it out, unfortunately your mental health is suffering as a result!

And for the record I am not talking about my kid, he is done hockey. I am talking about bettering the process of developing players and having the sport grow with the success rate of athletes funnelling through the system.

It seems odd you would fight something that makes Canadian hockey better…… but I guess odd and conspiracies is the new world order isn’t it!
What conspiracy are you referring to? That the Covid vaccine stops transmission? Join us in 2025 where we all understand the vaccine never stopped transmission. Just think about it critically for a short second. You were vaccinated and you still got Covid. You were duped then because you couldn’t see what was happening I the real world, blinded by erroneous articles and now you are on a random hockey page for an age group that your kid does not play in, again pretending reality is not real because you read an article drafted by the “experts”. If I send you an article stating the vaccine made you dumb would you believe it?
Never got Covid, genetically superior bud. That’s why you are so angry:)!
More like you’re missing a chromosome

This guy is part of what is wrong with Canadians. They had it too good for too long. Second or third generation of soft people and now they feel like their kid is a victim of suboptimal genetics and everyone else should change they way things are and wants the pie sliced differently to minimize his child’s shortcomings. How about teach your kid to persevere through adversity? Your mindset is super beta and teaching your kid this will set him up for a lifetime of misery.

Great post and why so many delusional parents are so afraid of that adversity so they try their be$t to bring their kids to top 3 teams to hide when in fact, they don't belong. Lots of surprises this year in the G! Many OMHA kids already taking jobs of kids.

Nobody said any of that. Total conjecture. Turn off CBC news dude and talk to your friends and neighbors. Nobody mentioned Marner or Trump. Nobody said Covid was a conspiracy. They said the vaccine does not stop transmission. Full stop. Using the word conspiracy to dismiss facts is a weak rebuttal.

Exactly! If this guys had his way with bio based leagues, as soon as his kid couldn’t keep up there either he’d be begging for age based leagues. Growth is through toil.

Actually you have it all backwards. The bio band tournaments are strictly for talent intensification purposes , and has nothing to do with league play and facing adversity. In fact it has been proposed that late bloomers are far more successful because of “ the underdog theory” they are forced to adapt and as a result they go further in hockey! The hurdle to all this is the uneducated coaches who cannot identify talent have a huge impact on these athletes quitting early . And quite frankly many don’t care about producing the best talent in Canada , they are only involved to Win now, because they were born with a tiny ding dong!

It appears you are far to obtuse to understand the system, and seem like a nice enough, albeit simple man. Canada can produce much more talent and this is the low hanging fruit!
