2016 AAA
Re: 2016 AAA
The teams in the Shootout tournament were not very strong. Winning a tournament with weak competition is not something to celebrate.

Who said the ProHockey team was a dream team?Guest wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 11:43 pmThis comment didn't age very well.Guest wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 8:47 pm Spring hockey is fantasy hockey. There is not 1 gthl or omha team that can compete at the elite level. It’s that simple. The AAA level in big box tournaments like this up coming tournament will be made up of really solid teams. Any winter aaa team will still have struggles in the AAA division. We saw it in the hhof, strong winter teams even with add on players can’t compete. Pro hockeys roster this tournament is literally a dream team. There is not a chance that a winter team would even keep a 5 goal gap let alone other strong teams like pacific and Boston. By the way did we say it’s spring hockey. This hockey has no bearing on what teams will look like in that fall.
2-1-1 in the round Robin.
Eliminated in the semi final.
Just saying.
They brought in a few recognizable faces and a great goalie yet they also kept 1 or 2 of the weaker Raiders/Marlies players to come along for the sponsorship ride.

Those US teams are strong pre brick teamsGuest wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 7:26 am The teams in the Shootout tournament were not very strong. Winning a tournament with weak competition is not something to celebrate.
Re: 2016 AAA
There was a lot of great teams, no idea who would say that it had weak competition …just a dumb statement. Good US and West teams, Ontario watered down across a bunch of teams and the PH team had a strong group (4 elite forwards added to the Raiders) and just didnt win…they are 9 year olds.
Re: 2016 AAA
4 of the top 5 kids in this age group didn’t even play the tournament. 2 are on WW and 2 on Kingston. If you had these 4 on a team one of the Ont teams would have done much better. One of these top kids was apparently playing o. YK AAA division for whatever reason. So reality is the Elite teams didn’t have all the real top kids. If Intario wanted a true elite team to compete you probably would not have more than a 12 player roster
Re: 2016 AAA
What kids in Kingston are the "best kids in Ontario"? Where did they play last year?Guest wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 4:23 pm 4 of the top 5 kids in this age group didn’t even play the tournament. 2 are on WW and 2 on Kingston. They are QRD, played up last year. You might remember them from EO Young Kings the year before.Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 8:40 amWhat kids in Kingston are the "best kids in Ontario"? Re: 2016 AAA
I think you are referring to the twins who played a year up they played for PP not Kingston or QRD. QRD had 2016 D who also played up and was very good. WW probably also has 3 of the top kids in the province. 2 on forward and 1 at D. These kids are playing OMHA next season wonder how long before they jump the G bandwagon.Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 10:13 amThey are QRD, played up last year. Yes, they are great and are playing with QRD this year.Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 11:12 amI think you are referring to the twins who played a year up they played for PP not Kingston or QRD. I was curious who I missed on Kingston's roster, but that makes more sense. Maybe they live in Kingston? But, they are playing in Quinte.
WW
