Not a big fan of SYB coaching style but he has been fairly successful. You can argue that he has superior talent and can’t win the big one though. Last year, clearly had the better team but got out-coached by WH and got knocked you in 2nd round. This year against WH, SYB had the slightly stronger team but clearly learned his lesson last year and out coached WH and won easily. Lost to a depleted EE team in final. Watched a couple of the games and thought SYB was the stronger team but EE goalie carried the day.

My kids were there before him and after him. The way he behaves on the bench is not the same as the way he treats the kids. We went back because he’s a winner. I may not like the cost of winning but we’re running out of time. The journey for my boys is almost over unless someone notices there talent. Ah yes, another episode of “Hockey Dad Fight Club,” brought to you by bitter coffee, missed dreams, and second-round exits. Let’s be clear: you don’t have to like SYB’s style. Heck, I don’t even like the way he wears his visor—looks like it’s been steam-bent by a microwave. But saying he’s never won anything? That’s just beer-league delusion talking. SYB didn’t outcoach WH last year because he was busy watching his ‘superteam’ play like it was pond hockey. This year? He adjusted, showed growth, and steamrolled them. That’s what real coaches do: evolve. As for the final—EE’s goalie turned into Brodeur on Red Bull. That’s not coaching; that’s divine intervention. And the screaming? Please. If you’ve ever been around real hockey culture, you’d know every locker room from Peewee to pro sounds like a drill sergeant convention. If your kid can’t handle a bit of bark, he’s not making it past A-level shinny, no matter how many extra edge sessions you book him. As for the “psychopath” talk—relax, Dr. Phil. Every team has a wild card. At least SYB shows up, doesn’t charge a cent, and puts his entire weird, intense heart into the game. You want a perfect role model? Read a parenting book. Man, this is starting to feel personal against the SYB coach. What’s going on — your kid didn’t make the team or something?
Honestly, the facts don’t back up what you’re saying. A bunch of those Bruins players have been with the team for 4+ years, and now some of the ones who left are even coming back.
Kinda says a lot, doesn’t it?

What about the kid who left during the season because of the way the HC treated him. What exactly has he won, last season nothing, didnt even beat out Leaside at Silver Stick regional tournament. Alot of the Bruins parents support him but claiming he is winner is just not factual.
