2011 GTHL A East

If the season ended today, the first round would be;

1. WestHill v 8. Ted Reeve
2. Leaside v 7. Leaside Gold
3. East Enders v 6. Markham
4. North Toronto v 5. Aeros

(Some surprises in there)

I’d guess West Hill beats Ted Reeve.

Leaside Gold upsets Leaside.

East Enders beat Markham.

Aeros take NT.

WH and EE advance.

WH takes it.

Lots of changes in standings. Revised predictions?

WH v TR - WH rolls through
LF v ARD - ARD stays hot and takes it
NT v TA - NT moves on
EE v MI - Series goes the distance with EE advancing

Wow. Standings still in flux.

Going into the final games and the last playoff spots are still uncertain.

TA limping to the finish line booked their ticket and will likely wind up in sixth.

AD appeared unstoppable for a while, but haven't been able to close it out with some unfortunate results in their last three games. Now they need a win against TA to guarantee a playoff spot, but a loss doesn't eliminate them.

LFG looked like they were out of it, but a four game unbeaten streak puts them right back in. They've got a tough final game against LF that could decide whether they are a playoff team this year.

TR now sits as the last team out courtesy of a SIR goal in the dying moments of their last game. They won't make the playoffs unless they can come up with a result against WH and get some help elsewhere.

All four teams play Monday night at Scotiabank Pond. There will be a lot of scoreboard watching no doubt.

Only first round matchup that’s set is EE v MI.

LF vs AD: If AD figure out their goalie situation, then LF in five. If not, LF in three.
